Team ITO lead at the Cayman Islands Ryde-a-Thon!

This weekend, the highly anticipated 24-hour Ryde-A-Thon took place in Grand Cayman. A flagship event in the sporting calendar of Cayman, the event - now in it’s 5th year - sees hundreds of participants gather together for a continuous relay of cycling, running, and walking.

Friday Happy Hour was put on hold for the ITO team this year, as eight budding teammates signed up to take on the 24 hour challenge. Kicking off the session was Chester Williamson and Darren Hendricks, with Ben Ward, Gareth Lloyd, Marc Deegan, Craig Uwins and Jamie Pullen taking the midnight and early hour shifts, and Chester Williamson and Herbert Koorzen seeing in the finish. Not only did the team participate, but they also led the pack in the run/walk sections, crossing the finish line with energy to spare. They wrapped up on Saturday evening with a well deserved team social to celebrate.

James Packer, head of ITO, commended the team's performance. "It's not just about participation; it's about leading from the front in every aspect of our engagement with our friends, our clients and the community in which we work," he said.

True to its ethos of community engagement, ITO is also committed to doubling the impact of the team's efforts by matching all funds raised during the event. "The success at the Ryde-a-Thon is just one of the many ways ITO is engaging with and giving back to the local community”. Packer added.

The event aims to raise US$160,000 for its chosen charity this year, the Cayman Islands Breast Cancer Foundation.

Congratulations to the ITO team for their outstanding performance and for bringing their community spirit to the forefront of this challenging event. We look forward to seeing the total amount raised from the event, and thank the organisers for arranging such a great event.
